These are letterpress cards made by Darcey Rojas an adventurer, an artist, a writer from United States. I won them as a lucky winner of her OWOH giveaway and I just love them. They perfectly match with me and my style. Thank you Darcy! You really made my day.

I would also like to thank you all for reading my blog. See you all in ten day; off I go to deal with some snow and slopes. Wish you all the best!

Easter egg candy

I am stick to my computer but I can’t enjoy the blog land because I have to work a lot, my deadline is around the corner, does not allow me to cut the paper and when I get sick and tired of interpreting some law regulations from one language to another I sit and crochet, yeah. I spent several nights practicing it, just a simple stitch, but I like to give things some usage and my practice turned into an Easter egg wrap, my Easter egg candy. It’s time consuming but it’s relaxing.

Wish journal

I have that thing called journal. It’s about all the things I want to do, to be, happy thoughts, wishes… The best thing about my journal is the wonderful feeling when, from time to time, when I look back, I discover that actually some of them came true. Writing them down I make them real and wanted. It’s a good game that lifts up spirit.

Boy's stuff!

I needed a birthday card, just something simple for an old lady.

And just when I thought I finished it, my son came and my plan about making something quickly was ruined. One minute card turned out to be half an hour card designed by him. Boy’s stuff!

Longing for spring

Just a touch of green and here it is. I didn’t change it much. The green is all that matters.

Longing for spring/ WIP

Oh, I’m so over this winter. It's only February and I’m already so longing for spring. I’m sure I’m not alone.
To this respect I started the spring version of my tree.

Coasters and a Happy award

I am giving my best and trying and I know that I still have a long way ahead. Never mind, I am determinate to master the crocheting. This will be a set of six coasters for my best friend. She moved to another city and to a new flat and I miss her so. I know that she will appreciate my effort (knowing that, so far I have never ever had a needle in my hand, hook was never been brought up as an issue :D).

Also, I would like to thank Aleksandra and Lindolina for the Happy award.

I have never met Aleksandra from Micic Art Jewelry although we live in the same city (meeting you will make me happy). She gave me the Happy award and I am supposed to tell 10 things that make me happy and to pass the award to 5 bloggers so that they can do the same. OK, here we are:

My little family (husband and son),
That one morning hour of peace (I wake up early just to have it)
Finding the right word when I am translating (actually, that’s what I do for living)
Giving away my paper cuts
Cooking
Learning new things, language, crocheting, cities, sailing….
Fire place
Craft shops
Friendly, lovely people
Comments on my blog (hee, hee)

I use this opportunity to pass the award to 5 bloggers that I like (don’t know if they will accept it or not):

1. Rozi

2. Dana Barbieri

3. Paper&cake

4. Red or gray

5. Mr. Yen

Tree

This is the latest paper cut for my Etsy shop. I’m pretty pleased with the way my tree turned out. Sometimes, it feels nice to use different colours, other than black and white. Took me about three hours to finish it, including drawing the picture out on the reverse side.

Love greetings

OK, I can do some papercutting, but please, don’t you think that I know how to crochet. Since I started to blog I am in awe of all the people who know hot to do it. I went to the store thinking that it is enough just to say, please one hook. Then you choose the colour of the yarn and that’s it. Of course, I was wrong. But when you don’t know, you learn, no matter the embarrassment. I am writing all this for those who are just like me without any clue when it comes to the crocheting, whatsoever. Here is the helpful video. Have fun!

Newspapers, part II

I love decoupage technique. Once I get started it’s hard for me to let it go. I especially love how does the newspaper pattern look on different things. To my bowel and napkin ring I am adding salt holder. Once I get it all set, you will see.

Kreativ Blogger award

The wonderful and supportive Paula nominated me for this award. Thank you Paula.

Paula has said that I now must list 7 interesting things about myself (the hardest thing for me to do) and then pass on this award to 7 other deserved bloggers. So if you've been nominated in this post and want to play, thank the person who gave you the award, place the logo on your blog , name 7 things about yourself that people might find interesting, nominate 7 bloggers for this award and post links to their blogs, send a message to let them know they've been nominated.

You may find interesting that I:
1. After going out for seven years with one boy, married the other one after two months of dating (still married, now for 12 years).
2. I survived 70 days of bombing of my city in plain 20th century.
3. I cured my eyes by bio-energy.
4. My uncle thought me skiing by taking me to the top of mounting shouting, now ski.
5. My sister in law always gives me the same birthday present.
6. I am afraid of pigeons.
7. My mother can’t remember the hour of my birth!
And here are the blog who I am awarding this award to and find them real inspiring:
I really tried to make a selection of favorite ones although I would like to dedicate it to all of you out here blogging.

Birthday, newspapers & black dots

Here is my idea for an eco birthday party.

Material that you are going to need:
paper rolls, some black dots, package, newspapers and decoupage glue.
