Temptation

After a little break I can make hearts again! I found a very inspiring blog and the template and I couldn’t resist the temptation.

Hall of frames

Last night my son Kosta had to practice writing, so we sat together to do his homework, he with his sharpened pencil and myself with my sharp cutting knife.

Mandarin’s basket

All that Valentine’s red all over the web (including me) is killing me. Gave up black and white as well, at least today, and I am coming up with this mandarin’s basket or muffin cup just to rest a bit.
These are night shots blurry as you can see but I couldn’t wait.

SWAP

Star flower decoration

My dearest friend from Sweden sent me some kind of plastic paper for lamp shades and candle holders. I can not tell which one because it’s all in Swedish which I don’t understand but the photos from the catalogue which came along speak for themselves. I used it to make these star flowers. They are really easy to make and with some Christmas lights you can achieve a great decoration for any party. Here is my quick photo tutorial.

Cover page doily

Right now, I am into more doilies. I like the way they look and although I am not a true Valentine person I find this holiday as a good excuse to cut all these hearts feeling no guilt. I cut this doily for the cover page of my idea journal. Latter on I’ll be adding some into my shop.

I don’t have skills or knowledge to make a real one, but can always cut one.

Freedom

I cut it a month ago. Didn’t like it at first, now I like it, tomorrow who knows…

Monday 11 January 2010

I am one of those lucky persons with no Monday pressure. Working from home has it’s pros and cons and today is one of these days when my jogging suit is giving me a hard time living me without the inspiration, whatsoever. My today’s to do list is odious, craving for some glamour.

Bottle wrap

Switching between heart or butterfly, butterfly or heart… but I needed something to decorate the bottle, just wanted to make it more personal and let my hosts know that I do appreciate their dinner invitation.

Patience practice

This heart was the most challenging and the most intricate papercut I’ve done so far. It was a real patience practice!

Thursday 7 January 2010

Half way…

Maybe it’s mission impossible, I am only half way there, lost patience. To be continued…

Golden wheel

Why on earth you made them black? – My mom
Why not? – Me
I suppose you won’t be using them for Valentine’s day.

Look inside

Today, I spent several hours translating some dull contract full of numbers and strange law word and I had to let it go! I love my job and I feel sort of excitement every time when I find the proper word, both, on mine or foreign language, but sometimes….it’s too much!

Sorry for being so annoying, but I am having such a fun cutting all this flowers and I can’t stop.
