MERRY CHRISTMAS

Altered book xmas tree

I’ve been seeing a lot of theses lately and as I like them so very much I gave it a try.
Don’t hate me for ruining a book, but this one just gained new life.

Christmas swap II part

The expectation was well worth it!
Mare a big THANK YOU!
My gift arrived yesterday neatly packed in sateen bags. Inside of each it was a real treasure: the most wonderful fabric heart, magnificent crocheted snowflake, breathtaking Santa’s stocking and brilliant every women’s book! So bright and natural.
Have a look!

Please, don’t miss Mare’s blog and her pics of the swap. Look around otherwise you’ll miss great tutorials and brilliant works.

Izzy, as far as I am concerned, you are authorized swap organizer! We are all waiting for your sign.

Tea bag printing

Tear and open used tea bag, flatten it out and dry. Now you got a nice piece of vintage look paper, thin and light.
First print out the image on a plain printing paper just to determine the position of your tea paper. Then, tack the tea bag over the printed image and tape it. Watch the side which goes first into the printer.
Glue your image either on card, tag, journal…

Afghan

My daily routine changed significantly, but not only the daily routine, the very content of my life changed as well. I’m still getting used to 9 to 5 schedule. This afghan is a product of my adjustment.

Peacock bookmark

After several years of being stay at home mom and freelance translator, now I’m working from 9 to 5. What a strange feeling! I got home and drop dead. I don’t exist. Hope this won’t last forever. Suppose, I’ll get used to it.

Luigi

Don’t know about yours, but my kid got obsessed with Mario Bros characters. We went to the store to buy Mario and Luigi, but they were sold out. Evil Wario was out of the question. Sad face, disappointment, tears, broken heart. Took me five days to find the pattern and crochet this one.

Believe me it’s well worth the effort.

Stitching bit

Hand stitched linen fabric with vintage lace. I’m thinking of adding it on a journal cover or pillow, even purse…

Star world

I keep telling myself, it’s OK to cut something just because you feel like cutting.
Purely therapeutic paper cut.

In the kitchen

I’ve been seeing this kind of paper cuts all around the blogosphere and decided to give it a try. This one is just a sketch, more intricate paper cut is on it’s way.

Book binding

My craft guru (one of my best friends) gave me precious advices on how to bin a book and make one for myself. I still need to improve some aspects of it but making one felt just good.
