In the kitchen

I’ve been seeing this kind of paper cuts all around the blogosphere and decided to give it a try. This one is just a sketch, more intricate paper cut is on it’s way.

Book binding

My craft guru (one of my best friends) gave me precious advices on how to bin a book and make one for myself. I still need to improve some aspects of it but making one felt just good.

Look out for more detailed explanations at:

Back to school party invitations

My son, well it seems that he is very choosy and bossy when it comes to his party invitations. Yesterday I showed him these layouts and he told me: Well you didn’t impress me!

A bell in my head is ringing: How did we get this far? Something’s wrong in this picture! Am I too soft?

Judge it for yourselves.
Judge it for yourselves.

Envelope

It’s Sunday, my boys are away, mail bonding, quality time, bla, bla, bla... My mom forbids me to crochet on Sunday, superstition thing, I'm tired of translating Mercedes-Benz navigation system and although I passed several hours papercutting, I came up whit this alerted envelope only.

Paper Topper

My son is turning eight soon and the decoration should be done. He already popped up the question: what is going to be this time mom? You have to come up with something! OK. Lucky me I found some paper gift toppers on Martha Stewart’s blog.

Complete tutorial over here.

Heart ornament

My heart ornament ended up in a crib of a two months old baby boy.

I sprinkled it with the lavender essential oil to whish him (and his mum) a good night sleep.

Recycled tag

Yesterday I bought a T-shirt to my son and while I was taking off the label I decided not to throw it to the garbage bin but to reuse it. Of course, I added some extras.
As I am pretty stuck with the translation I am doing at the moment, I don’t have much time for paper cutting so I have to satisfy my need for crafting with this little piece.
I wish you all a joyful weekend.

Papel picado

It's a Mexican version of paper cutting. I am making a banner out of it, for a party of course.

Lavender sachet

Lavender reminds me of my granny. She used to have lavender sachets in all drawers of her home and I just wanted to hold this memory and relaxing smell a little bit longer.
