Chinese style paper cut

Chinese paper cuts amaze me. They are so intricate, full of details, delicate, emanating patience and hard work.
I, myself, spent several hours over this one. The cut area measures 10x7 cm, and the frame is much wider.
Being very inpatient, I couldn’t wait my camera to come back home so I made this photos with my phone. Soon I’ll be adding this paper cut to my Etsy store, and I’ll make some better photos.

Clock

I tried to mix paper of different colours. It’s a simple papercut, not took me long. As I couldn’t visualize the final effect I had to give it a try. I might now cut something more intricate.

Princess

Pink and princesses, this wonderful cliché that you are allowed to follow when it comes to the girls’ birthday, and I did it. Sarita helped. She makes such marvelous cactus flowers (but not only flowers, cards as well) that I couldn’t resist. First opportunity and here we are. Thank you Sarita!

It's getting bigger

As you already know, I am a bit obsessed with my blanket. It’s getting bigger and bigger and I am so proud of myself.
I just wanted to express my delight and thank you all, crochet and non-crochet ladies for you support. Feels great having you around.

Lilac

I am truly and totally dedicated to my crochet blanket which means that I hardly have any time left for cooking, cleaning, translating and paper cutting. I felt a slight remorse and that’s why I made this flower.

Mobile, part 1

Few more paper cut flowers, one string and I’ll have a mobile. I just need more time. Too much work these days.

After spending several hours dealing with some nuclear materials and waste (“lovely” text that I am translating from Spanish to Serbian) I BADLY needed a break.

Wish journal's page

Since I’ve started blogging I wanted to make a photo mosaic but haven’t got a clue on how to do that, till now. I found a wonderful, gorgeous site that makes magic: mosaic, map, magazine or cd cover. It’s just your photo and you.
Here you got my whish journal’s page, and a cd cover made out of one of my paper cuts. Just lovely!

When I finally managed to JOIN my two granny squares, somebody brought up blocking subject.
- Did you block them first?

Now it seem like a good idea.

House keeper

I thought that it would be a peace of cake to wrap a yarn around an egg. I was wrong. It’s neither easy nor amusing, it’s sticky and time consuming, but than again, look at it. I am pretty satisfied with my little installation.

Let me explain, as well, the title of the post, well, here we say that the first dyed red egg should be placed on the highest shelf of your home till next Easter to keep you safe and healthy.
Wish you all the best :D
